How to book a session at The Artistry Room?To secure studio bookings, we exclusively utilize our scheduling system on www.theartistryroom.ca. All current prices and availability information can be found on our website. Once you make a booking, you will receive confirmation from us containing details about your reservation. Prior to your scheduled session, we will send another email including a liability form and an access code, in case there is no onsite person available. We strongly advise creating an account with us for convenient management of your bookings.

What are the hours of operation?The studio is available for booking 24/7 for self-service use. If a staff member is not present, you will receive an access code before your booking, which will be valid until the end of your reserved time. Please limit your usage to the booked studio space to avoid additional fees. Note: 24/7 access applies only to self-service bookings and not to services provided by the studio.

How to find The Artistry Room?Please reach to 283 Duke St W, N2H 3X7, Kitchener(AKA Old Boehmer Box Factory). Our studio is located on 3rd floor (Unit 340). Please use Duke St entrance of the building for easy access.

How much on-site parking space is available?We have ample on-site parking space by Railway tracks as well as in front of building.

How does the self-photography studio work, and what props and backdrops are available? How many photos will I receive?Step into our Self Photography Studio, where creativity reigns supreme. Armed with professional gear and a simple remote control, you're empowered to capture moments authentically. Choose from vibrant backdrops, take unlimited shots, and receive your photos digitally. What are the Cancellation/Refund policies I should be aware of?We regret to inform you that refunds are not applicable for any booking cancellations. However, we offer studio credit based on the following criteria: Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun): - 72 hours notice or more: Full studio credit - 48 hours notice: 50% studio credit - Less than 48 hours notice: No studio credit Weekdays (Mon-Thu): - 48 hours notice or more: Full studio credit - 24 hours notice: 50% studio credit - Less than 24 hours notice: No studio credit Studio credit is valid for up to 3 months from the original booking date. Unfortunately, no credit will be provided for no-shows. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy.

How is the studio organized?We offer three distinct setups. The Light Room, spanning approximately 1300 sqft, boasts large windows and neutral, earthy vibes. In contrast, the Dark Room, covering 1000 sqft, exudes intense and gloomy atmospheres. Our self-photography studio radiates fun vibes and can be customized to suit your preferences.

Can I move things around in the studio?You have the freedom to rearrange items in the booked space. However, please ensure you return them to their original positions, ready for the next booking. Failure to do so will result in applicable cleaning fees of $100.

Can you elaborate on the studio's lighting setup?Both the Light Side and Dark Side areas are illuminated by abundant light streaming through ten 6ft windows. The Bright Side, in particular, is bathed in natural light. With a white ceiling, it serves as an excellent surface for bouncing light. Please note that our studio flashes and lighting equipment are not included in the standard package but can be provided as add-ons for an additional fee. Additionally, both studios feature spotlights to enhance the overall experience. In contrast, our self-photography studio comes equipped with two powerful flashes for optimal results.

Are outside shoes allowed in the studio?No, we kindly request that you refrain from wearing outside shoes within the studio premises to maintain cleanliness.

Is a photographer included in the booking?A photographer is included only for services offered directly by the studio. For personal use of the studio space, you are welcome to bring your own photographers or videographers. Alternatively, we offer in-house photography services at an additional cost of $150 per hour, in addition to the space rental fees. Please provide advance notice for any photography arrangements.

What is the policy regarding belongings and pets during the rental period?Customers are responsible for their belongings. While pets are welcome, please ensure any mess is promptly cleaned.

Can studio installations change after booking?Yes, studio installations may be subject to change. Keep an eye on emails for updates on new installations. Customers can also reschedule within 3 months to accommodate any changes.

What kind of content am I allowed to shoot at The Artistry Room?We welcome a diverse range of creative expressions at The Artistry Room! You are free to capture various forms of video and photo content that fall within the bounds of respectful and lawful artistic expression. This includes, but is not limited to, photography sessions, video productions, interviews, workshops, and more. Please Note: At The Artistry Room, we strictly prohibit the creation of any explicit adult content, including pornography. We prioritize maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all our users. If you have specific questions about the appropriateness of your content, feel free to reach out to our team for guidance. We are here to support your creative endeavours while ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Who is responsible for damages during the rental period?Customers are liable for any breakages or damages that occur during the rental period. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in adhering to these policies for a positive experience at The Artistry Room.

What is the studio's capacity for accommodating individuals?We can accommodate up to 30 individuals in each space. Prior notification is required.

Is there a changing Room in the studio?Yes, We do have big and beautiful changing room available for clients.

Is the studio accessible for individuals with mobility challenges?Unfortunately, the studio is located on the 3rd floor and currently does not have access to an elevator.

Can I visit the studio in person before booking, and how can I arrange a viewing?Yes, studio viewings are allowed upon request. To schedule a viewing, please send us an email, and we will promptly respond with availability details.

Can I host events in your space?Yes, you can book our studio for events. Please reach out to us at hello@theartistryroom.ca to discuss your event needs further.

Do you allow referrals, and are there any benefits for successful referrals?Yes, we welcome referrals from both customers and photographers. Upon a successful referral booking, a 10% discount will be sent via mail. The referral code will be emailed after the completion of the referred booking.
